Medford Leas, an accredited Continuing Care Retirement Community, is pleased to present its Spring 2018 Pathways to Learning Program Guide. This season offers the opportunity for members of the local community and Medford Leas residents to participate in lifelong learning programs—many of them developed in conjunction with Medford Leas residents and staff, as well as community partners.
Pathways to Learning at Medford Leas has become a welcomed tradition in the local area. Lifelong learning and community engagement are both integral components of the culture of Medford Leas. Pathways Programs offer ideal opportunities to discover new interests, learn more about the world, and enjoy the good company of other attendees.
This season features programs related to horticulture and the natural world. Of note is the Annual Lewis W. Barton Arboretum Lecture designed to honor Lewis W. Barton as the founder of the Barton Arboretum and Nature Preserve of Medford Leas. A special Birding by Boat trip, Daffodil and Garden Walks, and Container Gardening round out the horticultural and natural offerings.
For those interested in current world affairs, you will enjoy stimulating conversation as a component of our Great Decisions Programs. Other topics to explore this season include: decluttering, Downton Abbey, calligraphy, music and technology.
Medford Leas is fortunate to have the public spaces and grounds to open up for the benefit of the local community. You are invited to review this Guide, planned to offer something of interest for everyone—and register soon, as some programs have limited enrollment.
