Sustainable agriculture has been described as the production of food, fiber, or other plant or animal products using farming techniques that protect the environment, public health, human communities and animal welfare.

Dr. Hossay has directed and advised sustainable development projects and community conservation initiatives in various communities in the Caribbean Basin. He teaches course in Environmental Politics, Sustainable Development, Municipal Environmental Policy, and International Relations.
