Events at Medford Leas.

At Medford Leas, both residents and the greater community can discover new pathways and possibilities for a rich and fulfilling life through our Pathways to Learning© Program and ongoing community events. The Medford Leas Campus Art Gallery is open daily from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm and will be featuring WATERCOLORS by Maria Prayer during the months of March and April 2017 and featuring ARTWORK by Myra Ryan during the months of May and June. We also regularly host luncheons or informative events for prospective residents and their families to learn more about life in the community.

Being out in nature, away from the chaos of our daily lives and technology can allow people to connect with themselves and nature in a way that brings about peace and a sense of well-being. Ongoing research shows that going on a hike or a walk offers tremendous benefits for your physical, as well as mental health and well-being.

The purpose of this program is to give a general, non-technical understanding of what can happen when cybersecurity fails, both to individuals and members of society in general.

Cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon) have been an important crop in New Jersey from pioneer days and were used by Native Americans as food and medicine. This staple of Thanksgiving was first cultivated in New Jersey around 1840 and has grown into a multimillion-dollar industry centered in Burlington, Ocean, and Atlantic Counties.

Join Medford Leas residents for this popular field trip to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) in Delaware. The area was created in 1937 as a refuge and breeding ground for migrating birds and other wildlife. It currently comprises nearly 16,000 acres of land, with about 80 percent tidal salt marsh. Bombay Hook NWR is known for its vast expanse of tidal salt marsh, one of the largest unfragmented marshes in the Mid-Atlantic.

Simply put, rain gardens are gardens that are specifically designed to soak up rain water, mainly from roofs, but also from driveways and patios. Rain gardens look like your everyday flower garden, but really are much more.
