of Kitty and Ray Katzell for their contribution which enabled
the Grove to be developed. The Grove is an extensive collection
of native American hardwood trees—a component of the Barton Arboretum and Nature Preserve. |

Medford Leas welcomes Dr. Andie Iannuzzelli, DO, FACOI as
Medical Director of Medford Leas effective May 2013. Dr. Iannuzzelli is responsible for the overall health and wellness of residents of the Medford Leas community. She will work closely with the Medford Leas on site multi-disciplinary team of health and wellness professionals as they work together to provide primary care for residents. She will help to coordinate resident’s care with the best specialists and treatment programs available. As a result of this “patient partnership” approach, residents enjoy close, participatory and enduring relationships with our health and wellness team.

In mid-July, in a nursing unit of a retirement community here, the two women were at the start of a recovery process that both hoped would return them to their previous lives.

TAK MORIUCHI CITED FOR PERSISTENCE, VISION
MEDFORD — The Medford Leas retirement community honored its sole surviving founder, Tak Moriuchi, yesterday with a series of speakers, the debut of the film documentary “Medford Leas — A Dream Fulfilled” and a reception.
The Medford Leas auditorium was standing room only, as speakers highlighted their individual experiences with Moriuchi and talked about the legacy he has left in the Medford Leas community.

This summer, Medford Leas will distribute over $114,000 in awards to its employees who are pursuing educational endeavor through two funds: The Nursing Educational Assistance Fund, and The General Educational Assistance Fund. |
