Chiyo Moriuchi is a consultant with MHS Consulting and a program manager for The Robert N. Butler Columbia Aging Center at Columbia University. Her earlier career encompassed some 30 years in international finance and real estate investment management, living and working in New York City and Tokyo. Since returning to the Philadelphia area in 2009, she has been using her business experience to advance a variety of Quaker and social concerns. Chiyo serves as clerk of the strategic planning committee on the Board of George School, a member of the finance committee of The Thomas Scattergood Behavioral Health Foundation and a member of the Head’s Council of Moorestown Friends School. A life-long Quaker, Chiyo grew up in Moorestown and graduated from Moorestown Friends School. She serves on the financial oversight committee of Newtown Friends Meeting and is the assistant clerk of that meeting. She is a cum laude graduate of Mount Holyoke College and holds Masters degrees from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and Mailman School of Public Health. Chiyo is the daughter of Takashi “Tak” Moriuchi, a founding board member of Medford Leas. Chiyo currently serves on the Estaugh Board of Trustees long range planning committee.
