Making Your Gift to Medford Leas

Generous gifts of time, friendship, wisdom, vision, work and financial support create a vibrant and caring community.  It is because of the active involvement of many that Medford Leas continues to thrive.

Your gift, large or small, makes a tremendous difference to Medford Leas ability to continue to build community and improve services for residents.   In the past, gifts to Medford Leas have ranged from $10 to over $200,000 in response to our annual appeal, as estate or memorial gifts, in celebration of birthdays or holidays, or simply in response to acts of kindness.  Gifts can be made by check and cash, appreciated stock, and from corporate matching gifts. All of these gifts are ways you can generously support the Medford Leas Community.

Medford Leas is a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Contributions are fully tax deductible according to IRS Guidelines. In addition to gifts of cash, there are other forms of gifts that may provide certain financial and tax advantages.

Funds

While Medford Leas has a number of funds that donors can choose to support, three funds have been identified to be of vital importance to Medford Leas in the near future: the Medford Leas Residents Assistance Fund, the Arboretum Fund, and the Estaugh Fund.

The Residents Assistance Fund
In alignment with Medford Leas Quaker heritage of neighbor helping neighbor, this fund provides financial assistance to support qualified Medford Leas residents who have outlived their financial resources. Supporting the Residents Assistance Fund is an ideal way to express appreciation to the community and provide financial and emotional security for qualified residents.

The Arboretum Fund
A cornerstone of the Medford Leas experience and campuses, The Barton Arboretum and Nature Preserve is a living treasure that we appreciate throughout the year. Recent projects that have benefited from gifts to this fund include improvements to the Lumberton Campus meadow with native seeds and plantings, the native garden area in the Katzell Grove, and the expanded Pinetum. The new plantings are providing color, renewed habitat and increased sighting of birds and wildlife. The fund supports improvements in all corners of our two campuses.

The Estaugh Fund
This unrestricted fund is ideal for donors who wish to give the Medford Leas Board of Trustees the flexibility to apply funds to areas considered to be in greatest need at a specific time. Your support of this fund strengthens Medford Leas in innumerable ways.

Every donation is deductible as a charitable contribution to the full extent permitted by law.

Medford Leas does not share or sell your name or information to any mailing lists. However, should you wish to have your name removed from our fundraising mailing lists, please contact us.
