Medford Leas Art Gallery

Currently in the Medford Leas Art Gallery, you will find the creations of artist Deborah W. Pey. For over 30 years, Deborah has relied upon her passion to inspire the art projects she has developed. The unfolding of each piece of art is an exciting adventure for her. The Gallery is located on the Medford Leas Campus in the Community Building. It is open to the public from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. at no charge.

Medford Leas Flower Show

Thanks to the residents who organized the Annual Medford Leas Flower Show. In addition to Horticultural and Design Divisions, residents and staff who provided educational exhibits on the topics of Monarch Butterflies, and Gardening in Raised Beds.

Also, a resident displayed her collection of embroidery. An Ikebana Exhibit in loving memory of Yuri Moriuchi was enjoyed by all. This year as a new feature, members of the Pinelands Garden Club participated with designs in a special division.

The Best in Horticulture Ribbons went to Dick sprague for his Epiphyllum, a large exotic cactus, in bloom. Joan McKeon’s all-foliage design for the “Falling Leaves class received the Best in Design award. Margery Rubin’s photo gallery provides a look at some of the 89 entries in the 2015 Medford Leas Flower Show.

5th Grade Scarecrows

Every October teams of fifth graders from St. Mary’s of the Lakes in Medford provide seated scarecrows in the covered walkways next to the parking lot. There are also a few elaborate standing scarecrows prepared by Medford Leas staff, but it’s the creative ideas of the students that make me smile the most.
