Honeybees – Why They are So Important to Everyone!

Tuesday, September 19, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

No fee, registration required
Registration Deadline: September 15

Attend this program and learn about the importance and benefits of the Honeybee (Apis Melifera), and why they are an important component of our lives – even though we may not realize it!

Stephen and Nancy Alexeichik are the owners of Mill Creek Apiary, Medford Lakes, which produces 100% pure raw honey and beeswax products. Honey is believed by many to be the golden nectar of the gods, and many consider it to be the most perfect food on earth.

Beekeeping is Stephen and Nancy’s passion and they enjoy sharing their knowledge and educating the public about the insect and the products derived from the honeybee.

At this program, you will learn about life with and without this important insect. Find out who, why and what the hive is made of. You will also learn about the benefits of honey, pollen, and other products of the hive. Various health and medicinal uses of products derived from the honeybee will be discussed, as well as what you can do to help save the honeybee and other pollinators.
