Music and Mind

Friday, October 13, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

No fee, limited registration
Registration Deadline: October 6

Scientists tell us that, even in the womb, we learn the rhythms of our culture. Music is deeply embedded in our brains. Listening to it can lift our spirits, or conversely make us sad. Who has not unconsciously tapped their foot to a rousing number or wept upon hearing an old, familiar hymn?

Learn how music can affect us in everyday life, and how it can be used to wake sleeping memories and enhance your health. You will also learn about the power of music and its effect on people of all ages.

This workshop will give you knowledge as to how music can improve your personal well-being.

“In tune or not, we humans sing and hum; in time or not, we clap and sway; in step or not, we dance and bounce.” -Harvard Men’s Journal
