Strength Training Workshop

Join in this interactive Strength Training Workshop, in celebration of Active Living Month. Ken Roland, Fitness & Aquatics Manager at Medford Leas, will review the importance of strength training for older adults and will share with you a program that you can do in the comfort and convenience of your own home. The class Ken has designed for you will be performed in both seated and standing positions. Therabands will be distributed at the class for use at home as a tool to continue with the program. Ken will review the importance for all of us to build our core body strength, with the ultimate goals of increasing not only your muscle strength, but to improve your posture and to maintain, or increase, your ranges of motion.

Ken Roland, Fitness & Aquatics Manager, Medford Leas In addition to over 26 years of experience in the field of physical therapy, rehabilitation, and fitness training for older adults, Ken is certified as a personal trainer, balance trainer, and boxing fitness trainer. His areas of expertise include working with special populations, older adults, balance and core strengthening, and aquatics.

*This program will be offered at the Medford Senior Center, located in Cranberry Hall, behind the Medford Township Municipal Building at 17 North Main Street, Medford, NJ 08055.
