Columnist Sally Friedman will be honored Thursday at the Burlington County Library in Westampton for her five decades in journalism.
The Medford Leas resident will share what she’s learned about life through her own experiences by reading several columns and take questions from the audience about all aspects of life. The event, “Can we talk? Life Stories with Sally Friedman,” begins at 6:30 p.m.
Friedman began writing after the unexpected birth of her first daughter at home, which she wrote about for Baby Talk magazine. She began writing for the Burlington County Times after her third daughter began school. Soon after, the BCT offered her a regular gig writing a weekly family life column.
Since then, she has written numerous columns about her personal life for the BCT, The Intelligencer and the Bucks County Courier Times. Friedman’s column appears in all three newspapers each Sunday.
