Davis Henderson grew up in a Quaker family in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania and Silver Spring Maryland. He graduated from Westtown School and Hamilton College. Following his graduation from Hamilton, he joined the Peace Corps, where he served as volunteer in Ecuador, a staff member in Washington, DC, and later country director in Malaysia. Returning from overseas, Davis became human resources director at the American Red Cross national headquarters in Washington, DC. Davis continued his career with the Red Cross as European operations manager in Stuttgart, general manager of the Chicago chapter and finally as chief executive officer of the Tampa and Houston chapters. Davis became a resident of the Lumberton campus of Medford Leas in 2011 and is a regular attender of the Mt. Laurel Friends Meeting. He currently serves on the Estaugh Board of Trustees long range planning committee and is chair of the development committee.
