FITNESS & AQUATICS

TRANSPORTER

TASK

Transporting residents to and from the fitness center and apartments.

SCHEDULE

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:30-11:30/ Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 1:30-2:30 (commitment to at least 1x a week for at least 1 month)

Volunteer will interact directly with residents, staff, and other volunteers. Volunteer will receive a list of residents to assist in transportation to the fitness center for their appointment time and assist residents safely back. Must be able to move about freely to respond to situations that require lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, walking, sitting, and pushing wheelchairs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

THERAPEUTIC RECREATION

HAND MASSAGES

TASK

Providing hand massages and back massages to a small group of residents to promote relaxation.

SCHEDULE

Fridays 4:00-5:00

REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Volunteer will interact directly with residents, staff, and other volunteers. Volunteers must be able to self-direct after orientation and be able to retrieve the supplies needed to carry out this task.

ACTIVITY ASSISTANT

TASK

Assist with TR activities and resident individual pursuits.

SCHEDULE

Tuesdays 10:00-11:00/ Monday- Friday 3:00-5:00 (Commitment to at least 1x a week for 1 hour)

REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Volunteer will interact directly with residents, staff, and other volunteers. Volunteer must be able to lead self- directed activities. Must be able to move about freely to respond to situations that require lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, walking, sitting, and pushing wheelchairs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

MUSICIAN

TASK

Connect with Health Care Residents through music.

Volunteer will interact directly with residents, staff, and other volunteers. Volunteer must be able to lead self- directed activities. Must be able to move about freely to respond to situations that require lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, walking, sitting, and pushing wheelchairs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Pet must have records of vaccinations. Pet must well behaved around people and other animals.
